Naughty

Hi folks! For those of you who don't know me, I'm Audrey. I have my Uncle Matt and Auntie Denise (otherwise known as Ung and Nene) wrapped around my little finger on account of my being so cute and all. This weekend I was at their place, and Nene snapped a whole mess of pictures of me with her new camera (which she'll blog about later, I'm sure). She caught me doing some of my favorite things. Like loving on my bestest pal, Bling. And reading, of course, which is one of my all-time favorite things to do. I'm telling you, kids, I L-O-V-E love books, and I really get into them. Which is why Nene should have known better than to put me down for my morning nap while my crib was pushed right up against her bookshelf. When she came to get me, I'd pulled a bunch of them down to peruse and was deeply engrossed in this one: Did I mention that it was Easter Sunday morning? But for those of you out there who are judging me right now, thinking that I'm naughty, shouldn't the real question be why would my Nene keep such a book in a home where a toddler is present? For shame, people! For shame.

Basking in Barry's Glow

As B commented in my last post about Audrey falling asleep clutching her very own Barry Manilow glow stick, I have these pictures to share from our recent trip to Portland with the Morrises (more details and pics to follow soon, I promise).

Super Bowl Blowout, aka Germapalooza 2008

Sunday afternoon, 7 innocent friends and 2 lovely babies gathered in our home to 1) stuff our faces with dips and chili cheese dogs, 2) imbibe, 3) gab, and 4) watch the Super Bowl (in that order, just about). Much fun was had by all, especially Jacob who had a ball showing off his stair-climbing abilities . . . . . . Matt, who just loves having his picture taken (can't you tell?) . . . . . . B, who managed to enjoy a quiet reading moment with her baby . . . . . . Audrey, who discovered that loving on Jacob made all the adults in the room fall into fits of oohing and awing . . . . . . and Denise who could hardly contain herself, having not one but TWO footie-pajamaed cuties in her house. But as we all laughed and munched and cheered for the Giants, little did we know that an enemy was in our midst. THE AFTERMATH (can you guess who was the epicenter of germiness?): Note for future post topic: Why was B spared? Is she an alien from another planet?

One Week Ago Today . . .

. . . Natalie Jane joined our extended "family." I've taken it upon myself to share these photos, because my dear and fabulously brave and strong friend, Carol, is way too busy raising an energetic (and chatty) 2-year-old and nursing/burping/diapering/placating Natalie to update her blog for a while. Could this little peanut be more perfect???

Looking to Make a Love Connection?

ANNOUNCER: “He enjoys drooling when he laughs and poops in his pants. He lives with his parents and likes a girl who will ‘tickle his stomach and butt.' Please welcome to the show . . . Jacob!” Now before anyone accuses me of being mean, let me just say that this is posted above exactly as it was sent to me by his loving mother and father (with just the name of his city deleted, because I'm a dork and nervous about revealing too much personal info). I don't know about you, but I'd take a date with this handsome fella anytime.

Dear Audrey

Do you recognize this butterfly? You left Mr. Chewtoy under our ottoman this weekend, and now we're holding him for a ransom. If you ever want to see his smiling face or gnaw on his soothingly chilly wings again, you'll have to make your parents bring you over to visit us again. The payment is three blow kisses for each of us and cuddling. Lots of cuddling. Oh, and you must wear footie jammies, too, because they're adorable. (B, we also found a little blue Gerber cap that looks like it goes on a bottle or something, so if you're looking for it we've got it.)
